Bernadette brings over 35 years of experience working with a diverse range of organisations across both Western and Eastern states of Australia. Her background is primarily in business management, with extensive experience in payroll administration spanning small businesses through to corporate environments.
She holds an Associate Diploma in Engineering (Surveying) and, in 2016, alongside her husband Tim, took over the management of the Backhouse family farm.
Outside of work, Bernadette enjoys walking through the orchard and looks forward each year to the family’s driving trip to the Eastern states to visit family and friends. A decade ago, she began training in Goju Ryu Karate with her three children and continues to practice, proudly maintaining the tradition even as an empty nester.
