Environmental Matters
Environmental concerns are never far away from the headlines these days, and at Yield it’s no exception. We’ve been challenging ourselves to adopt more environmentally-friendly practices and generate a smaller ecological footprint. Specific measures that we are using include:
- Reducing our paper usage – for example using e-sign for BAS and tax returns;
- Recyclable waste transfer stations in both of our offices to separate general recyclable items from soft plastic items;
- Processes to collate e-waste (defunct PCs, monitors, cables etc) and deliver the waste to recycling depots.
Paper is probably our biggest challenge – we have an ultimate goal of becoming a paperless office, and while we are not there yet matters are improving step by step. Later on in the year look out for the ability to e-sign financial statements in Xero – coming soon!
